Ehnbachklamm

Ehnbachklamm is a small stream between steep narrow valley in Zirl. From Innsbruck, it is about 12 km away without much altitude change so I decided to bike.

Pic 1: Starting point of Ehnbachklamm

Starting point of Ehnbachklamm was under the bridge in the Seefelder Strasse.

Pic 2: Hiking paths were made carefully to ensure safety.

Stair case immediately appeared to go up in rocky parts. Some of hiking paths along the klamm was narrow and stiff so made fun walk through.

Pic 3: Narrow paths right next to the stream

This place is perfect for very hot days in summer as it does not get sunny at all and cold water flows along the way.

Pic 4: One of bridges on the way

I encountered several small bridges so it is not just walking on one side but crossing back and forth.
As Ehnbachklamm is a very famous place for rock climbing, I saw many people hanging on a rope like MONKEYS! No, not really like monkeys but in fact, they were really awesome. I would die to be on the top to have a fantastic view and envied them so much. This is definitely one of things in my wishlist.

Pic 5: The valley looks like a part of the dam

There was a dam to limit the flow of water and reserve it. Several water openings at different height made it like water falls. Stiff stair case there took me up to the dam. Beyond this point, there were many rock climbing routes. I just continued to walk further to go to Brunntal.

Pic 6: S bahn track

I crossed S bahn track towards Hochzirl. Must be fun to take S bahn through the mountains.

Pic 7: Farms in a pasture

After bit more climbing up, a large pasture found me! Just like in Bollywood movies, I felt that I should run around with my arms wide open.

Pic 8: Jausenstation, Brunntal (1172 m)

Before going down, I wanted to take a break in Jausenstation for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. But BUT... it was closed. Only a barking dog greeted me, rather drove me away. I was so hungry and my water was all over. What else could I do other than going down!
On the way back, all I could think was a cup of black coffee with Apfelstudel (apple pie). With full motivation to EAT, I biked quite fast to Ruetz Baeckerei (backery) in Technik Strasse. How was I? I was in heaven with Apfelstudel. I love you, Apfelstudel.
I forgot to take a picture of Apfelstudel, the heavenly. Remembered only when it was in my stomach. Probably this makes it complete.

Everything will be okay at the end.
If it is not okay, it's the end.

I did not say this, John Lennon did.
